    Peace in our time?

Peace in out time? Probably not while you have this warmongering idiot in Israel:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described Rowhani as a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” and threatened military action to prevent an Iranian nuclear bomb.

I'm sure that if Jesus Christ got elected as Iran's leader Netanyahu would still want to bomb them.

i'll believe him when he makes full disclosure of all docs related to the program and allows full unrestricted u.n. access and inspections to anywhere including militarily sensitive areas at any time....

the problem is once they have the bomb, it'll be impossible to take away.

The most powerful political office in the Islamic Republic is that of the Supreme Leader, of which there have been two: the founder of the Republic, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, and his successor, Ali Khamenei.

I saw a part of this interview tonight. I am not fully convinced as the Supreme Leader has not been changed. Case closed.

Bibi's not only losing friends, but enemies too!

Unfortunately, since every country that is demanding Iran stop developing nukes alteady has them, it really hammers their credibility, if any government had it in the first place.

Fringe revolutionary elements are the ones I worry about getting these weapons. And I can see that Iran's connections with some of these groups would make the US and co. worry, but I take comfort in the fact that such an attack hasn't happened yet. Additionally, if you work to build a positive relationship and move forward, you decrease if not eliminate any incentive to supply groups aiming to strike US/Western interests.

This can only be seen as win/win.

President Obama is a very wise man who seems to always be a step ahead of his enemies both near and afar. He seems to draw out hidden agendas in ways of making enemies expose themselves and has a way of drawing any possible friend near. I trust he will be able to judge this new Iranian leader's true intent as well as Israel's.

" President Obama is a very wise man "

President Obama is supporting the stone-age jihadist terrorist in their effort to overthrow the secular Assad regime and replace it with a Sunni theocracy. At the same time, President Obama turns a blind eye the the nuclear program of the Iranian mullahs and has effectively allowed them to become a nuclear power.

If that is your idea of "wise", I can only say it is a strange one.

I'm pretty sure no one misses the Shah of Iran. Mohammad Mosaddegh, on the other hand...

"The reason that Americans have not been able to see the great strategic benefit that could accrue from a closer relationship with Iran is emotion. Emotion is always the enemy of wise statesmanship. If we are now getting to the point where we can get past this emotion, then I think the United States might be in a very positive place. "
