@Burning Bush Iran is a state which depends on infrastructure and they don't have the firepower to stop the US from bombing them. So doesn't really matter if Iran or Burning Bush claim to be the victors here.

Good work by the Iraqi forces. ISIS needs to be coralled in Syria and then destroyed.

Wow. Could it be that Burning Bush and WiilB and all the talking heads they follow were possibly just a little premature in decrying Obama's military strategy as a sure failure? In fact, most said it was no strategy at all, even though it followed George H.W. Bush's belief in building coalitions, rather than simply putting U.S. boots on the ground.

Because Iraq retook a town? "After months of battles"?

Why did the Iraqi forces retreat from the invaders in the first place? Or were they not considered a threat, except to Kurds.
CrazyJoe
Those parasites (IS) are on the run now.

No. Because the tide is turning, and it is being done exactly as Obama said it would -- with the countries in the Middle East carrying the load, and the U.S. doing what it does best -- training, intelligence and special-ops.

That's at the town of Tikrit. This battle is at the western town of al-Baghdadi, where nearby there's a big air force base where there's hundreds of Americans advising the Iraqi troops and guiding airstrikes.
As the news article above clearly states:
"Between Feb. 26 and March 6, the U.S.-led coalition launched airstrikes on 26 locations to help Iraqi forces move against the militants. Coalition forces also provided intelligence and surveillance to the Iraqis."
