For a about a seven period, Mahliki and the rest of the govt. sat on their asses.

They bickered and showed uncompromising factionalism and never got their act together in order to lead their country while the US forces were fighting.

Now that the US has pulled out they want more weapons and air power. They had it for a long period. They wasted the opportunity. They needed to and still need to get their act together.

Should give them the bombs from an altitude of 3000 ft.

What a waste of lives and money. Thanks, W, you got the USA into this mess, and it is your legacy. The Hundred Years War in Europe will look like an introductory chapter to these wars. The great grandson of the present day warriors will find it hard to believe that they are fighting the same war if the USA responds to such requests. The USA is not the "policeman" of the world, and the USA taxpayers are tired of the loss of life and costs. Yet, the USA receives no benefits from oil, etc. from Iraq come to the USA. The USA voters need to be very careful to select a president in 2016 who will bring the troops home and leave the battle to the leaders of the countries in the area.

Iraq should ask China and Russia for more air power and weaponry.

Give the Iraqi "army" weapons and they will drop them and run away.

Actually, ISIS is Obamas legacy. I am no friend of GWB (US politicians of both stripes have got it tragically wrong in the Middle East), but to blame W for this silly. Remember, it was Obama jumped in on the side of the Sunni radicals in Tunesian, Libya, and Syria. ISIS is an extension of the same "vetted rebels" that your current Potus is supporting.
