sadly you are mistaken. The Islamic State has a solid base and will be with us for quite some time. And the idiotic US policy of continuing to arm and train Sunni rebels against Assad only helps it getting stronger. (NB: yes, I know they are "vetted".... whatever that is supposed to mean)

It's a no-win situation for them. If they don't arm them, they'll arm themselves from whomever would give them arms, still making ISIS stronger.
