"Truce" is a misleading translation of "hudna" -- a 10-year long break in fighting, during which the Jihadists can prepare themselves and become stronger. That is of course what Hamas wants, true to islamic teaching.

10 year hudna(truce/ceasefire), great news, that can be higher peace for all, for 10 years. Small step, in peace in palestine, but big step for better world. All religions are a way of spiritual life, whether christian,jewish, islamic or others. You need peace for spiritual life.

Alas, islam is not only a religion but also a form of government. And not the type of government a proud, free individual should wish for. And the defined purpose of the hudna (according to the warlord who founded islam) is only to get stronger and then resume fighting. There is absolutely NOTHING in the doctrine of Hamas or Islam in general that allows for peace with Israel. The stated purpose of Hama is to destroy the Jewish state. Do us a favour and spare us the Taqqiva.

That is correct. Jihadists typically use a hudna when they are losing the battle and need time to rearm and gather strength. It's NOT peace, it's a ceasefire. That's why you can never have peace agreements with Jihadists. They're not worth the paper they're written on.
