    "West Bank settlements"

Who in their right mind would want to live in the West Bank?

Who in their right mind would want to live in the West Bank?

Religious fanatics and those looking for less expensive housing. Oh yeah, and the original inhabitants, the Palestinians.

only $215 million out of roughly $835 million pledged by Arab League nations has been handed over to the Palestinians

They gotta keep their "Palestinian" brothers in misery for that propaganda war.

a Paris donor meeting netted $7.7 billion in aid pledges to the Palestinians over three years

Perhaps the money can go to rebuilding the multi-million dollar greenhouses they destroyed that were also paid for by philanthropic donors.

I don't think they have much chance of reaching a peace agreement by the end of the year until they include all parties which are an impediment to peace.

    "the original inhabitants, the Palestinians"

That's disputed. Some say the Israelites were the original inhabitants...

Who will urge to stop the rockets launched into Israel?

    "the original inhabitants, the Palestinians"

There was never a country, ever, in the history of the world called "Palestine." Notice that the article is about a country called "West Bank."

Ban says "natural growth unacceptable". Will someone please inform me, when did the UN become an independent nation like the other 3 nations in the quartet? Also when do "middle men" in negotiations make demands on disputed properties? The last time an independent country existed in these currently disputed territories, correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it was the kingdom of Israel whose capital was Samaria. Furthermore the League of Nations charter designated all these lands as designated by the future Jewish State.

    Bebert:

" Oh yeah, and the original inhabitants, the Palestinians. "

The original inhabitants where Jews. Their presence in the area precedes islam itself by 3000 years. And Judea and Samarrah (the West Bank) are historical Jewish territitories. Following the Arab-Muslim logic, Israel could send rockets and suicide bombers into the area to evict all muslim Arabs. Except Israel does not do that.

The Palestinians, these folks talk like they have equality rather than the begger they in fact are. Their society exists because of passing the hat. I honestly do not think they are capable of running their own country. Let's see, Arofat dies and their people go into a civil war. Israel unilaterally gives them Gaza and these folk return the favor by shooting some 2000 missiles at civilian populations. How can any one say that Arabs who style themselves as Palestinians, prior to 1948 Jews living under the British Mandate the world called Palestinians!

Let's clarify the reality hear. The Arabs living in the conquored territories are economically bankrupt. They have no money. Who then is supplying thees finanially broke malcontents with missiles? Folks there's a larger agenda here that the Press has failed miserably to investigate.
