In his closing, Spataro said Western democracies cannot accept arguments that the rules of engagement have been altered by the threat posed by international terrorism.

The rules of engagement have been altered by the threat posed by terrorism. Not accepting that is just someone living in a fantasy world.

I still don't think that warrants an acceptance of kidnapping people in broad day light and flying them to torture-friendly countries blocked in the middle ages.

I wish youngsters of today would at least read the aticle to know what they were taling about before making thelselves look silly.

Allegations of torture and kidnapping are not what I want to stand shoulder to shoulder with....

I think the issue here is more the Americans that are aledged to be kidnapping people in Italy and sneaking them off to a third world country to peform heinous acts on the kidnapees person.

But I'm hoping they can just be a little more discreet about who they torture to protect us ;)
