Thanks for that link! That is truely unbelievable! Mr. Jackson is one of the most self-centered people on the political stage (which is really saying something). I think he is just jealous because people actually take Barak Obama seriously. Jackson definitely managed to make himself look like a spoiled idiot.

C'mon, sailwind, you really can't interpret that message? kinniku's lame attempt at humor aside, what Jackson is saying is this:

"Black males are not entirely responsible for their condition. Society shares in the responsibility. Therefore, Obama needs to stop harping on the personal responsibility part."

The irony here is that the posters who accuse people like Jackson of "holding black people down" are actually supporting Jackson on his point. Which is: Black people are being held down, whether by government policies or folks like Jackson or Sharpton, by forces beyond their control.

For the record, I agree with Obama's tack and not with Jackson or the posters who inadvertantly lend him support.

First, Jackson's message is a horrible message of negativity and hopelessness. Yes, my humour may be 'lame', but I believe I was on point. Jackson misses the spotlight and is jealous of Obama's appeal.

While you are at it, could you also interprete Jackson's 'nuts' comment? I'm sorry but this is an example of backstabbing at its finest on the part of Jackson.

While society always bears responsibility for its citizens, Obama's message of self-reliance and responsibility rings far truer than Jackson's message of constant finger-pointing and blame. Mr. Obama is the future. Jackson is not. With his comments Jackson further proved this.

When I was a child: A certain Jessie Jackson came down to neighbouring South Africa - apartheid, to give the 'black brothers' moral upliftment as he put it. And I must add, our plight in Rhodesia was a central theme... He stuck us 'black African brothers' with a $15,000 dollar fee!!!! Now please don't zap my post again, but the sly weasel sent a "pay or else" note as soon as his emancipated butt was back in the US.
