Nice one!
Bleed the guy for all he's worth.
How about going after some of the other war criminals too?
Cheney?

The wheels of justice turn slow if at all.
I can only hope this will open a floodgate so that other innocent people, not just U.S. citizens, can get their due from scum like Rummy, and also Bush and Cheney too.
I hope the war crimes tribunals also start before those evil old men die.
And Obama just lost points from me for letting his admin step up to the plate and try and make a case for Rummy.
And I hope Judge Gwinn hires himself some security.

Rumsfeld is a very nasty and dangerous man. I was shocked when at teh time of the Iraq war that Fox News was treating the man like some kind of living God. Would be good to imagine him doing time, but it wont happen.

Indeed Mr rumsfled was a very nasty and dangerous man like 'big Tony' in TV drama'Sopranos', He has a rude but famous remarks: Failure is not an option ! He was despicable and he screwed up everything in Iraq war. Like Heinrich Himmler, he holds big power watching everthing like a hawk's eye but his knowledges has very very limited military expertise! Rumsfled has 'bankrupted' America's economy and heading to demise of power and influences over the world! The Iraq war was totally unnecessary and thanks to Mr Bush's personnal issue hatred of Saddam Huessein that lead America in two prolonged quagmires, huge money and lives losses! He was too lovely!

"The Obama administration has represented Rumsfeld and argued he cannot be sued personally for official conduct. U.S. District Judge James Gwinn disagreed."
How dare U.S. District Judge Gwinn disagree with the Obama administration!
The Obama administration cannot be wrong in such matters!

We did. We arrested Saddam and killed bin Laden.

I disscent from District Judge James Gwinn. Please refer the Government Entity Protection.
You cannot sue US military because you were injured.
Government Entity Protection under the Federal Tort Claims Act

Actually that's inaccurate. As far as the debt goes, the Bush tax cuts and the economic recession have had a far larger effect than the costs of the Iraq war. In fact, if it wasn't for the recession we would actually be in relatively good shape - deficits were shrinking prior to the recession. The loss in revenue due to the recession has given us these trillion dollar deficits - not the Iraq War.
(That having been said, I too think that the Iraq War was a mistake. I just want to be accurate about these things.)

So stupid. Obviously will be appealed, and overturned. Judge is a nut. Supreme court has already ruled on the issue. And it wasn't the standard 5-4 decision either.

Yanee, unfortunately, it is happening in the US everyday and everywhere. Daughter accusing stepfather for sexual molestation, stepmother being physically violent...... They all end up in the district courts...
