Nope. Look at the number of people who die in terrorist attacks compared to the number of people who die in car accidents. Much more likely to die in a car accident.

More will die by drowning than a terror attack. That still does not mean ISIS should remain an organization. They are not very powerful if confronted head on. Show them the ramifications of murdering innocent people will be severe. The irony is these people do well when controlled by strong brutal dictators. Freedom is not how they seem to live happily.

Innocent until proven guilty is out the window. Person A is a 70 year old former French teacher (33 years) and a ALT for two years in Japan who has to line up with everyone else in the domestic or international security lines.He/she has been check by TSA and foreign country security almost every time he/she enters or leaves. It doesn't matter if he/she has checked all the bags and has only one laptop bag. He/she stands in the same line as the business person with a roller bag, extra bag strapped to the top, and a laptop bag all of which violates all airlines' baggage size rules. Is there an easier way to pass through the lines. Sure, pay the fee that the government wants for pre-check, which actually is just another tax on the flight. After all, it only takes a special 15 minute meeting with a TSA agent to get approved at a limited number of international airports for a pre-check certification. If TSA wants to check everyone, separate Person A from Person B, then set up a line for Person A who has a laptop bag and maybe ONE backpack. It won't take long for people to understand through simple observation who gets through TSA faster. By the way, the official response is: TSA says it is an airline security problem and the airlines say it is a TSA problem. What is the result? Person A is still standing in the line hoping to make it to the gate before the door closes.

The last line really says it all. This overdone paranoia about airline terror really needs to stop. The incompetent grunts at the base of TSA couldn't catch a cold let alone a terrorist. The bulk of their activities is harassing innocent travelers.

AQ & ISIS have taken a lot of the fun out of travelling overseas, not that there was ever much fun in it in to begin with.

Well I'm not signed up to go anywhere soon anyways. Extra security never bothered me. It just means I'll probably have to arrive earlier and wait in lines longer.

July 4th though is always a stay-cation for me. Closest relatives live in the same state.
