He's a blowhard and a jerk. That said, I don't think he's guilty of anything, except of being a blowhard and a jerk.

Was there ever a doubt this clown was guilty? Just one more cog in the crooked Chicago Machine. Wish we could put the rest of them behind bars.

"Was there ever a doubt this clown was guilty?"
The first jury acquitted him of every charge but one.

The justice served to a man who talks too much.

Well, to be more accurate, they deadlocked on all but one. I also tend to think him a jerky blowhard who probably wasn't as corrupt as all that. but my impression is solely based on his appearances on talk shows (the Daily Show in particular). These jurors, on the other hand, heard many days worth of testimony. Hours worth of tape. I trust their informed opinion more than my own uniformed one.

No, pretty obvious, particularly if you listen to what he said, that he was in fact guilty. The jury did a good job. Finding him guilty of 17 count, not guilty of 1, and reaching no verdict on 2. The previous jury was unable to reach a verdict. Hence the retrial. Had they found him not guilty on most of the charges, there would have been no 2nd trial. Double jeopardy would have applied.
