Gee, Wakarimasen, visiting the most populous Islamic state in the world to seek their cooperation regarding this issue does not seem like a bad idea. They likely will not be sending aid to those fighting the ISIS, but they could be instrumental in blocking Indonesian volunteers who want to fight with the ISIS.

i agree Kerry is a waste of space. sure, he has to be seen to be doing something but he is soooo unconvincing. If they can't stop a steady flow of jihadists from EU countries and Australia how on earth does anyone believe the Indonesian government wil be able to (let alone want to)?

Islamic extremism is like a Hydra. Cut off one head and more appear in its place.

"Following his visit to Indonesia, Kerry will head to Germany to attend events marking the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. "
Kerry should also stop off at China and Russia to get them on board.
