"cut some of the billions of dollars in aid to Islamabad"
The U.S. doesn't have ANY dollars to give to a place where U.S. flags are burned.

What the U.S. government might do is have the CIA set up a covert operation to install a dictator who is more open minded about U.S. demands. Its become something of a habit.
Never mind that Afghanistan is right next door to Pakistan. And never mind how the Pakistanis feel about all this. America, from the far side of the planet, has demands, and if Pakistan does not like them then Pakistan will be beaten into submission.

I agree lucky. The US has tried the aid and pro-democracy route but clearly lots of uneducated people in Pakistan need to be beaten into order. Thankfully the US is leading the charge in making sure Islamic nuts don't get their dirty mitts on nuclear weapons.

I am sad to hear you agree since my post was not support of such selfish and piggish action, the like of which has brought us right where we are today. I do not want more of the same, thank you.

It's pretty silly to talk about (get me a tissue) removing the leadership since they're the only ones keeping the radicalized population from taking over the place. Lucky, my guess is that you actually think you can empathize with how the Pakistanis feel, as if someone from a rich country with an education getting all kinds of access to news would have the same motivations as someone who is being told what to think by a radical religious leaders. You aren't on their side and they aren't on your side.

It's home to 170 million people. If their Indian neighbors - with over a billion - can't "beat them into submission," America sure as hell can't. But don't let a few basic facts deter you from indulging that all-too familiar brand of anti-Americanism.

Well it is good to see us send John Kerry with a nastygram to the Pakistan Govt. That'll get em to pay attention when we say we mean business.

"Punjab、Pakistan's wealthiest province"
How wealthy is it? Do they have enough money to reimburse the U.S. for the operation to get Geronimo?

I think you misunderstood. America does not beat people into submission by force of arms alone. America is beating Pakistan into submission as we speak. It started with payoffs to get them on board in making a show of being allies and to get Pakistan to turn on their poorer allies the Taliban. Then America tests Pakistan's patience with blatant missle strikes. Now America threatens to take the money away. And there are more tricks where those come from. Look up Iran and find out how it got to be such a mess. Or Nicaragua.
Do I get to be branded anti-American by you for predicting that what America did in the past it is doing again in the present? Am I still anti-American if I approve of the raid to get bin Laden, even if it was against international and even if I did not approve of killing him? Would it make you pro-American to support American action no matter how wrong, unjust and ugly?
Wake up and grow up. The only sides I am on are those of honor and truth. Human groups and us vs them I leave to the small minded and the petty.
