Eighteen-year-old Mohammad Shaker said he first heard about the Koran burning on Tuesday, and he and other members of his mosque decided to take to the streets Wednesday after morning prayers.

I wonder how many times he and other members of his mosque took to the streets after Taliban bombs killed innocent people just going about their days.

By nightfall, seven people had been killed—four in Parwan province and one each in Kabul, Jalalabad and Logar province, and dozens were wounded, the Interior Ministry said. In some cases, security guards or police were accused of shooting protesters, while in others, officials said the shooting started from within the mob of demonstrators

Killing and dying because of an affront? Religious leaders need to discourage this type of reaction. Islam has forgiveness in its teachings. Why is this not taught?

Yup, a peaceful religion, of course.

Religion of Peace, agree. If you only knew the source of a lot of these religions, even some Christian religions too.

Ugh, talk about a lack of leadership. Why can't we extract ourselves from these pointless, costly endeavors? What do we gain by staying there?
