I agree that Jackson was (at least partly) responsible for his own death. However, an attending physician who administered the medications that eventually caused Jackson's death does bear some responsibility. It was reported earlier that Jackson's nurse refused to give him the tranquilizer (I forget the name) he was begging for because of the danger. Apparently the difference between a helpful dose and a fatal dose is very small. A doctor's negligence resulting in a death = manslaughter.

I don't think it's that simple; medical malpractice resulting in death happens all the time without manslaughter charges being brought. However I can definitely see a wrongful death action in the works. It seems pretty clear these "doctors" were getting paid to give this totally awesome musical genius drugs which they should have known were harmful.

The doctor is partly responsible for supply and administration of the powerful coma inducing drugs that killed Jackson but is the prescription of and administration of those drugs illegal? Also how far back do we have to go to get to the doctor who first prescribed such drugs?

As for Latoya and Joe, they are really trying to milk this by staying in the lime light as long as possible with their outlandish claims of conspiracy murder. I think the rest of the world is not stupid enough to lap up that crap though.

I think a few people are being over zealous. Seems almost as if they want someone to have killed him thus pushing the blame on to someone else other than that of MJ. A star of his capacity and wealth can wield a lot of power over a doc. He took the drugs, and a whole lot of them. The doc really wouldn't be able to stop him short of tying him to a chair.

It looks like Jackson signed his own death certificate and had it cosigned by his medical advisers. Unfortunately it is Jackson who is dead and can no longer be grilled in a court of law, so who are the next in line?
