Looks like the historically crucial second free and democratic election, which liberated Iraq recently held and which produced no sign of anything that would invalidate it, provides the conclusive proof that the American and coalition forces
most definitely achieved V I C T O R Y.
The surge, which Bush and McCain staked their political lives on, worked.
This draw down only confirms American victory.
Maybe one day the media will get around to reporting it.
Its a type of victory but hardy conclusive. The point is that things will get real bloody over there once the US pulls out. Then brother will kill brother and the strong will dictate. Then you can say that the US experiment failed.

That's extremely funny, primarily because U.S. forces haven't even withdrawn yet, and the war is most definitely not over.
"This draw down only confirms American victory."
That's like calling a sports game at half time.
bobbafett's comment "The point is that things will get real bloody over there once the US pulls out. Then brother will kill brother and the strong will dictate" is far more grounded in reality.
Calling what the U.S. has in Iraq now a 'victory' is like bush calling 'mission accomplished' when the real fighting was only just beginning.

It just cracks me up that there's anyone still left out there who still posts on boards like JT with a straight face and use the word 'liberated,' especially in bold font, lol!
How little (and bereft of any sense of a big picture) someone must be to beat their chest about V I C T O R Y after the hundreds of lies, broken promises, and mistakes made in order for other people to achieve it.
Maybe one day they will get around to looking inside themselves to see that.
And let's not even get started on how that same V I C T O R Y required a butt-ton of goal-post moving and has no assurance of permanence.
But hey, if allowing a small group of American radicals the beat their chests, don their foam #1 finger and do a touchdown dance is what it takes to get our troops the hell out of there, I'm all for it.
I agree with guys like Sarge. When i look at the facts in a fair and balanced way, i can only come to this conclusion. Beacuse of the brave decisions made by Bush Iraq is now a free prosperous nation and part of the axis of evil has been take out. Also The terrorists have been unable to launch another attack against the US since 9/11. Their failure is down to the good policies and judgement of BUsh.
If you look at the World historically you will see that the death from war rates are way down since WWII. This " Iraq War" was basically meaningless in the context of history. An occupation that was maybe needed.
This recession has me worried more than any occupation or political skirmish, because out of depression usually comes war. I have never seen a war won, but if one needs be it is this global recession.

As more economic constraints effect US budjet/US economy, may be good to reduce, wanted by Malliki/Obama, cut of US military spending in Iraq.
