Good news, despite there still being a lot of work to do.

"He added that Obama’s speech may have helped the pro-Western coalition in the sense that “being allied with the U.S. used to be a very bad thing ... With Obama it’s no longer a bad thing, it’s rather a good thing.”

Clearly, Obama's policies are having a positive effect in the ME, and all that dialogue and efforts at showing respect and cleaning up after the last president -- when the Hez got more backing than ever thanks to said president's policies of hate and isolation.

Good news for Lebanon and the ME in general, though I agree with Ehud Barak's statement that it remains to be seen if Lebanon can reign in the militant actions of the Hez. I hope they can.

Nothing has changed. Hezbollah is still representing the Lebanese people's social and security needs.

Obama must stop labeling Hezbollah a terrorist organization. Hezbollah is a political democratic party. Hezbolla should keep their military as long as they got crazy neighbors such as Israel. Obama should give money to Hezbollah. Obama needs to borrow money from China and China I am sure are willing to give aid to Hezbollah with interests.

Nope, it's a terrorist organization, a proxy of Iran which seeks to control Syria and Lebanon. It's recognized as a terrorist organization for good reason. Hassan Nasrallah is just another Islamic terrorist leader.
