While Gadhafi is a nut, we should have nothing to do with it. I mean, why don't we also help protesters in Bahrain by shi(p)ping weapons for example? No! Better! Help Chinese freedom protesters.

One can get a help for freedom only if it serves the helper's interests. Hmmm. I don't care after all. I just want cheap gasoline and goods. Bomb what ever you want, train whoever you want.

Told ya. This is what bombing cowardly from the air gets you, particularly in an internal conflict like this where a huge number of combants are not in uniform or flying flags. My only error was that we got to be pariahs even sooner than I expected. But then, I am sure we have more good will to throw away yet.

OK, could you please pick up a rifle and go face Gadhafi's forces? LOL.

I agree with Sarge. A school friend joined the British armya nd was in Norther Ireland in the eighties. He shot at someone with a plastic bullet during a riot and hit a kid in the chest who had a seizure. Kid recovered but could have died. you don't want to be fighting almost hand to hand with people blending in with non comabatants.

I never said Gadhafi should be removed by me or mine. And I never said NATO had an obligation to remove him. I have said time and again: just arm the rebels. Let them make their own collateral damage.

    "just arm the rebels"

You have to take out at least some of Gadhafi's forces to do that.

Airdrop. If that cannot be done, I got no problems with armed incursions from land or sea. If they challenge NATO, they declare themselves hostile, then NATO shoots them. That is okay. But as it is, NATO's planes are not being challenged. They just bomb targets and are not really sure who is hostile. ie, they have no excuse.

Heh Obama's war willi? Weren't you saying the same for both Iraq and Afghanistan?

We can feel your bitterness that the tired old Islamic conspiracies have failed once again to come to pass.

U.S. and NATO meddling in another sovereign nation's affairs and publicly recommending regime change in Libya. U.S. has a long history of deposing leaders of other nations in order to get natural resources, specifically oil. NATO forces are not interested in saving those being killed, it is just a noble motive to hide your agenda.
