"Liberation" from a relatively secular dictatorship. Now they have the "freedom" to introduce Shariah and total islamofascism. Wait and see.
I am flabbergasted how Western politicians and media can continue so tragically wrong about the nature of this "Arab spring".

I have no time for Islamophobic's who would just love the whole "Arab Spring" to fail just so they can say, "see, told you so!".

It's amazing to watch one man's mission to rant about Islam, and listen to the rabid conspiracies that have no foot-hold in reality. Egypt and Tunisia have so far been a big blow for willi, as you can see, he's desperate for Libya to descend into chaos.
That's pretty mean spirited if you ask me.
Western politicians may have an eye on the booty, but there has been a massive effort behind the scenes on their part to prepare the NTC for a post-Gadaffi Libya.

Madverts:
I don´t know what kind of news you read, but Egypt and Tunisia have been a desaster so far. (Unless you are a rabid islamist, in which case you can celebrate).
Smoldering Israeli embassies and Coptic churches in Egypt, gas supplies to Israel stopped, Egyptian armed forces helping jihadists to infiltrate from Sinai, Muslim brotherhood getting ready for cabinet seats --- how any sane person can claim that as an improvement is a mystery. Ditto for Tunesia, of course.

Islamist party Ennahda wins elections in Tunesia, as we speak:

This comes as a surprise only to those who are fast asleep (including Western politicians).
Expect the same for Libya.

Tens of thousands of Libyans are attending a ceremony, right at this moment, to celebrate a Free Libya. This is a beginning, not an end. Elections promised within 8 months. The future of Libya, will be decided by Libyans. There will be a national army.

What the BBC News actually states is,
"Islamist party Ennahda is expected to win the most votes, though it is not clear if it will gain a majority."
The polls have not closed. Results are not expected until Monday.

The Ennahda party have stated if it wins the election in Tunesia, it won't be seeking to build an Islamist state. All parties have expressed a desire to have a democratic country.
