Lockerbie bomber fuels anger just by staying alive

“Some people say that the Scottish system has too much compassion,” he said. “But at the end of the day, I think I’d rather be first minister of a society with too much compassion than be first minister of a country with too little compassion.”

The job of anybody in authority is to do right by the law and by the people they represent, this man has done neither.

“If we were to pursue this, it would put pressure on BP and the Libyan government,” said New York Sen. Charles Schumer, one of four Democratic senators spearheading efforts to investigate the Libyan’s release.

Carry on gentlemen, we may not be able to get the bomber back in prison but maybe we can boil a few bureaucratic grease stains in BP and Scotland.

Its very obvious that he was released for someones profit. Very greedy for BP and very backwards for Libiya.

Isn't it interesting to see BP's oily, blood soaked hands involved in this too? Remember, BP originated in Iran as the British oil company involved in installing the Shah. What's the bets they're up to no good now as they try for regime change against President ArmoredDinnerJacket?

He resides with his wife and children in south Tripoli’s posh Damascus neighborhood, home to ministers and ambassadors. The family’s two-story villa is surrounded by a well-manicured garden with a fountain. In the garage are a Toyota Land Cruiser, a Hummer and a BMW 7 sedan.

Well that's certainly better than "too little compassion."

Could I have some compassion please?

This is really too much. I don't know how sick this guy really is but it sounds like the government is paying him and his family quite handsomly for his ill deeds.
