Why does the media even interview her? Who cares that she got angry phone calls and hate mai. In my opinion she too should be in jail--after all, it seems her life of luxury was funded by criminal means.

Oh they only tried suicide?? Maybe they need some help from their victims??

They didn't attempt suicide because they don't feel any remorse for what they have done.

Don't care about her and her feelings are irrelevant. She knew what was going on and now she is looking for forgiveness or sympathy! What a self centered and shallow person... I wish she would shut up and go away.

Did she? (know what was going on, I mean.)

Obviously she didn't try hard enough.

Before we judge Ruth Madoff, shouldn't we find out how much she knew of her husband's doings?
Maybe she thought her husband was a perfectly legitimate businessman who was doing no wrong. Sure she got to live a lavish lifestyle, funded by ill gotten gains, but she didn't necessarily have anything to do with it.
Before we crucify her, don't you think we should find out if she was in on it?

For many decades, Madoff was a successful and trustworthy person in the realm of finance, so she had every reason for thinking so.
It was only because of his successful past and his reputation that clients would trust him with their fortunes. That he, at some point, decided he was going to be corrupt is the interesting story here.

For shame, actually if the wife did not know about her husband doing illegal stuff, I actually feel sorry for her and TAKE BACK ALL OF MY NEGATIVE COMMENTS, Howz that??

Boo Hoo, she got hate mail after she and her husband defrauded people of billions of dollars. I'd be more surprised if people who lost so much money, didn't send her hate mail.

She and her husband. Now you are putting her first like Bernie is an afterthought. You are too much.
Does your wife know everything about your job? Because if your performance eval isn't stellar, I want to rag your old lady out like there's no tomorrow.
Then we'll see how you like it. Then I'll go "Boo Hoo."

Madoff. All that stolen money he donated to Dems like Schumer and Obama couldn't save him.
Washington Times:
"An analysis conducted by the Center for Responsive Politics found that Madoff and his wife, Ruth, gave the bulk of their campaign contributions to Democrats. The couple donated $238,200 to federal candidates, parties and committees since 1991, and Democrats received 88 percent of those donations."
Schumer, to his credit, donated the money he got to a few of the people Madoff bilked. Any self-respecting libertarian has to also point out that
"Madoff gave $11,400 to nine Republicans in the same time period. None of them is in office now."

I put her first because I use proper grammar. Bernie and her, Bernie and she etc, don't work. She and her Husband does. Bernie is the one in prison, and deservedly so. Why you feel the need to defend this man or his wife, is beyond me. I didn't have any money invested with him, but I know some people who did, who lost a lot of money. So pardon me if I fail to shed any tears over hate mail this woman gets.

molenir,
Now I get it. It all makes sense to me now. You're a conservative.
You want to crucify an a woman who wasn't involved in a crime because some people you know got hurt by her husband. She is innocent. You got hurt in a tertiary way so you are going to lash out at an innocent woman. Got it.
You're a conservative. It's all about you. I get it now. Can I talk to your wife now please? I'd like to speak with her about your performance here at JT. Thank you.

No he doesn't.
He merely says he does not shed tears over the hate mail Madoff's wife gets.
