Instead of praying Madonna, how about using some of your massive wealth to hire a hit and eliminate the source of the problem?

As opposed to the entrenched internal powers that already pressure and dictate to the courts. Can't have any interference with that can we?

the Pussy Riot group - you can see them on youtube, is terriffic and the girls are very very brave to take on the heavy mob, in Russia. Well done Madonna, I pray for the girls too, When they get out of gaol, I pray they can get right on with the job of defending free speech and free expression, even if it offends little wannabes like Putin.

Prison time for what amounts to, at most, disturbing the peace? Sorry but even from a crime and punishment guy like me that seems ridiculous. Not to mention 5 months of detention. Like I said, I'm normally one of the least forgiving people on this site but even I have my limits.

Its worse than that. They have not been given bail and have been in prison for months awaiting trial. And their detention has been extended another six months. I doubt Russia's hooliganism law was ever intended to be used like this. So I withdraw my earlier statement. I don't think there is any way they could have predicted this outcome.
