Tragic, really. To meet the demands for maids and domestic helpers, some organisations have shady or lax screening processes or simply match their maids to those who are too demanding of their helpers. There needs to be some kind of requirement on the part of the employer as well, not to mention appropriate support given to these helpers to allow them to cope in the first few weeks.

The defence, pleading for leniency, said Wahyuno was of low intelligence and could not cope with a demanding employer who called her hurtful names like “bodoh”, an Indonesian and Malay word for “stupid”.

So the lawyer has called her stupid as well. Does this mean she kills him too?
