She was shot in the head, survived, and became a peace activist. I'd say she earned it. Obama, on the other hand, literally only made a few speeches to "win" his. That ain't right.

Got that right sensei258.

This girl is an inspiration for all children, if they learn about her.

She and her father had to be evacuated to a secular Western country to be safe to mount her campaign...and from where she tells journalists "Islam is the religion of peace." A bit ironic, methinks.

She should share the award with the British government for its role in defending freedom of her and others like her, like Salmon Rushdie.

From what I understand, true Islam IS a religion of peace. The radicals who twist its words to justify their violence and ambition are not following Islam.

"true Islam IS a religion of peace."

Except all that stuff about Jihad, which is outlined and promoted extensively in the Koran and the Hadith?

sensei258 must not teach political science. By the time someone makes it to the U.S. presidency after holding office at state and/or national levels, they have delivered hundreds if not thousands of speeches. What else do candidates do on a daily basis for their nearly two years of campaigning? For example, Rand Paul spoke to the NAACP in Feguson, MO, yesterday. If he becomes the next president, would you say he made only a few speeches over the years?
