“The so-called world of adults may understand it, but we children don’t. Why is it that countries which we call ‘strong’ are so powerful in creating wars but so weak in bringing peace?” she said.“Why is it that giving guns is so easy but giving books is so hard? Why is it that making tanks is so easy, but building schools is so difficult?”

The wisdom of the young. I congratulate her on stepping up and fighting for what she believes in, she deserves this prize a heck of a lot more than some (one in particular) of the previous winners!

Congratulations Malala! You have proved, time after time, that you are way more than just a victim in a violent and cruel world. You are an inspiration for all of us, child or adult, male or female, to fight for our dreams specially if they are as simple as education. Only if world leaders were so mature as you are, we would have a much better place!

I was very surprised. Because, she was 17 years old. She was younger than me. She is very wonderful people. She insisted that a girl had a right to receive education. I am agreement in her opinion. But, she was attacked by the opposition. i thought that I felt very sorry for her. I intended that I watched her on TV and support to her.

Anyone here think this image should be the picture of the day today?

Her cause is a good one, but is it anything to do with Peace?

Nice speech, but back home the islamists will get her again, and nothing will change.

Aahhh!

Great speech, powerful words, and so infuriating that the deaf and dumb countries she's talking about when referring to starting wars but not building schools will say how they agree with her and how her message should be followed by all nations, but it'll be just lip service. Countries, US, China, Russia, and now Japan will still make and sell weapons across the globe.

I really wish Malala's dream could come true.

Did WilliB just say that Islamists in Birmingham, England, are going to attack Malala? That's her home according to the article.
