    "Why is this so serious?"

No kidding... seems almost the norm these days in some countries.

He asked his girl to kill him ? How bizarre, and how unlike The Joker, who'd surely be willing to top himself for the right kind of mayhem.

Also, a slow speed chase?? What does that involve.

I don't understand. He gives her the gun and says "Kill me." Then, the police confront him and he points the gun at them. Truly, my friends, a Joker.

Stone told emergency workers that Lanum stabbed him and used a stun gun on him, authorities said, adding he was taken to a hospital for serious injuries and later released.

Why lethal force against someone who was obviously in need of help, not death.

When you hear a hoofbeats you assume horses and not zebras. All the police knew was that there was a man pointing a gun at them and they took action. Any logical person in the officers position would have done the same.
