I am particularly intrigued by the unicycle. How is a guy going to abduct a 12 year old girl on a unicycle?

On another note, I think that there must be 50 guys his age named Tony Russo living in Parma, Ohio. If you know Parma, you know what I mean.

Tony the Red, hmmmm.... dressed in red?

The quickest way to destroy children's belief in Santa Claus throughout the world is for one pedophile to do something like this. Concomitant loss of innocence and a quicker onset of cynicism. They need to slap him with whatever they have there.

I'm glad they caught him! What a nutjob.

I am glad he is not here in JP. He would be on the trains in Saitama groping little girls while dressed up as the KFC Santa.

Luckily, the girl could outrun (or outwalk) this fat Santa!

nandakandamanda, so how did kidnapping for money get scratched of the motive list?

Anyway, at 12, if she still believes in Santa, there is more than one problem here. Its cute when little kids believe, but believing at 12 is bound to warp a person's reality well into adulthood. In other words, its not cute anymore, its irresponsible.

numbskull, my bad. 12 she is indeed.

You reckon that pulling her into the bushes, he was after her money? Hmmm...

OK, you win. Anything now becomes possible. It was her Dad, and he was trying to kidnap her (yes, the article does say kidnap) because her Mom wouldn't allow visiting rights. Like in the movies! Yay, maybe he was in the right, I can see it now, and society and the Police had been getting him wrong.

I said what I said buddy. I did not say that anything was possible.

Yay, maybe he was in the right,

I sure never suggested that. There are things called chill pills. You should look into them.

Er, if you read my post you may notice that I was suggesting not that this particular 12-yr-old would now never believe in Santa again, but that in the light of this incident, children all over the world will be warned by their parents to mistrust Santa. In fact in the UK I believe there are very restrictive new rules about how Santa has to behave around little children.

I think you got caught on the use of my 'p' word and perhaps you are the one needing to take one of those things called chill pills that you say exist.

Anyways, with the hysterical nature of society today, one creep/thief, whatever, with a single act of selfish thoughtlessness, can have a profound and inhibiting effect on the whole planet, is what I was aiming to say. :D

Hey, I see JT has changed his name from Tony to Anthony now. When did that happen, and why, I wonder? Human rights? Would a prisoner complain about use of a nickname in the press?

I looked at the p-word and asked you a simple question. You are the one who went crazy with exaggerations. Its all there.
