Revolving door like at the high end hotels?

Can get in one way only! P.S. Keep little kids with big heads from going at it alone.

Why do they have to ground ALL the flights whenever a security situation happens with ONE person? Alright, it's safer to get everybody involved, so everything can be checked or rechecked. But it doesn't make sense to stop a huge airport like Newark because of a minor problem like this. US authorities will have to find a way of keeping security in check without the necessity of disrupting 4,000 people's schedule everytime they think a person MAY be a suspect of anything.

Airbus systems and Boeing systems again disrupted at Newark. May be better to use the Car/Bus transport systems.

Logic would speak there should be a guard or someone that physically blocks people from going that way, but logic and the TSA don't mix.

"The State Department lists Cuba, Iran, Sudan and Syria as state sponsors of terrorism. The other countries whose passengers will face enhanced screening include Afghanistan, Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and Yemen."

Seems like they are missing a few. Any takers? Do your part to help the TSA, people. Step right up and guess where the NEXT bomber is coming from. I get Venezuela, Egypt, and Bangladesh. France is the sleeper here.

By the way, if you read the article, if someone gets through without being checked, there is the chance that some substance or device has been passed. It is like a filter. If dirty water gets through, you have to refilter the whole thing. Or if someone spits in the soup, you have to throw out the soup and make a new batch.

So they cleared the secure areas and sent everyone back through screening again. I hate to say it, but this is one of the most logical of all TSA protocols. All due respect to Badge213 of course. If you believe that screening is necessary, you have to start over again if there is a breech.

It didn't halt the whole Newark airport, just that particular terminal.

My comments are that, why don't they have anyone actually standing there preventing someone from going through? Seems simple enough, how can you have a "secure area" if someone just walks right through and they didn't even find the guy? Maybe there should be one way exits or revolving doors, but simply a manned exit? And if it was manned then whoever was there didn't do their jobs right, makes you feel safe doesn't it?

So I am saying LOGICALLY you would have someone or something there that prevent's the person from going somewhere he's not allowed. If that was in place and working in the first place to prevent a breech there would be no need to close down and rescreen everyone. I know at some airports, the airport police and security personnel are physically standing there preventing people from entering a secured area. Why wasn't that in place here, and if it was how did it fail so bad, because they never found the guy who did it.

This is one of those security items that shouldn't happen. This should have been considered in the planning stage and why can the door even open from the outside without a passcard or key? < :-)

Liberty? Maybe the guy was expressing his concerns. You are at Newark Don`t feel at Liberty to go where you want. Change the name to Newark Lock Down International Airport.

All I can say is that the Muslim extremists are surely creating a disruption to air travel at a level unprecedented since 9/11. I certainly share the frustrations they are causing from authorities and travelers.
