Just be glad it wasn't the customers he was attacking.

I feel like doing the same thing every time I see a clip from FOX News.

About motive, if the TV's were all tuned in to the same program, it might have been a program he really, really didn't like.

Like those kids breaking windows @ elementary school only he was taking it to a higher level

Anyway, this is clearly just a case of mental illness for the TV smasher so obviously anything could have set him off, even a presidential speech. I do agree with sensei258 that it's just fortunate he took out his aggressions on TV sets and not fellow customers.

Bats are dangerous weapons. Its interesting what is banned. He could not have done this much damage with the half of them. But bats are perfectly legal.

I feel sorry for the bat, i hope his charges include animal cruelty.

Not nearly as dramatic as back in the days of tube televisions. That would have made 29 loud implosions.

"Strellis has so far provided no motive for why he smashed the TVs"

    I'll bet it was stress.

I hope someone tells the young TV smasher that violence never solved anything.

What a jackass. Community Service cleaning septic tanks plus compensation.

Don't know why the guy did this, but he's going to be hating life, when he has to spring for that many TVs. Or maybe his daddy can pay for it.

could have been worse. He could smashed one of the bats that shops all wallmart with 29 TVs.

Probably lost his job, love life and wanted to dig a deeper hole

So if he had done it at a more expensive store would the charges be more?

Hurrah for random acts of violence? I think we're ignoring the very real possibilty that he broke the televisions for the heck of it. I've seen a lot of strange things in my life and a man suddenly deciding that he wants to break some televisions isn't all that bizarre.

Could have been worse - he could have been hitting people shopping!

True. But since he was in the South he probably would have been shot if he started hitting people.

as a clarification the North tends to restrict concealed carry more than the South. I was not implying that the South is more violent than the North. Anybody who has studied Sherman's March knows better.
