Listening to a radio station from LA, the suspected growers were identified as "Mexican Nationals." A growing trend is that instead of smuggling it across the border, they just go into our National Forests and grow it there. If you happen to be a camper out for a stroll and run across them, you probably will be in a bit of trouble.

Pot is legal with a prescription in California = a growing (no pun intended) market. They even asked to have it taxed to help CA. =You can get it damn near anywhere. Maybe they need to legalize the growing of it also.

OK now...being the naturally suspicious type, I have to ask... you've had a big, hot fire at the "origin of the blaze" ...metal melts, things are burnt to a cinder.... How do you know that there were 30000 plants there?

Thats an easy one Farmboy, plants always leave roots/stems behind and people that work in forensics know what signs to look for. In a national park if there is an area that is cleared out from the natural fauna to grow something else its kinda easy to spot.

Yet another reason why it would be better to legalize it!! Then at least you can regulate it, license growers, sellers, distrobution, and tax the living crap out of it. Put these illegal operations out of business and get a better quality product on top of it.

California is at the stage where there is so much commercial pot consumption they should (they must) consider commercial growing. They allow the consumption, but not the growing = bad Lib idea.

Californians really believed that Obama was gonna "bail them out" -but reality (being responsible) is sometimes the best prescription for life. I know that angers many Libs, but in the end California and its' people will make the right decisions and be in a better place. -And I firmly believe that.
People need to be careful with any drug or even food product -It is your body and you must take responsibility for it. -Don't expect ObamaCare to "bail-out" your health.

Marijuana is one of those issues that shows the true conservatives vs. quasi-conservatives, Marijuana is illegal because the government choose it to be illegal(government interfering with the individual). A true conservative is against all forms of government interference. Quasi-convervatives on the other hand demand less government interfence when it suites them and demand more government interfence when it is something that is against their belief, failing to see the irony.
