Now you know Mr.Sushi that Mr.McCain will be our next president. Well mine at least. I must thank you for not twisting this fact into the usual conspiracy theories that come from the loose in the head, aka, liberals n democrats. Cheers to what Mr. McCain says. He's got my vote now definitely!

I heard his speach today. Some of it sounded very sound, then there was the portions that were pure pie in the sky.

He wants a few nations to be the umbrella countries that rein in everybody else who might want, has or contemplates getting nukes.

Then we're going to have a universal depository of spent nuke material. Oh Yeah!!!!

And he spewed more vote getting propoganda and I think he even believes what he saying.

I think his nuclear plans are so far fetched, especially from a country that has shown that we do our foreign diplomancy unilaterally.

We've shown oursevles as cowboys.

He's talking about a few countries controlling all the uranium. Nobody gets it unless they come to the uranium key holders. Then some country is going to be the holders of all the waste material. I can hear it now, "Not in my back yard."

He's a maverick that could be even more troublesome than george bush.

He's been good for the country, but he's been held in check. Just my opinion.

adaydream I don't think advocating for nuclear material to be freely available to anyone who wants it is a position that you're going to find much support for. I'm sure there will be some who will lend token support on a message board to make a point, but in reality you're probably out on your own on this issue.

But it is nice to see you agree with McCain on some issues, especially his unilateral approach to important issues such as this.

Rather than singing his favourite "Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" he might want to suggest that Christopher Hill et al replicate their diplomatic achievements, modest as they are, to Teheran, and save the world a lot of angst. If the US can talk to Crazy Kim, China and Russia, the only thing between them and a civilized discussion with Iran is the lack of political will.

And with the way that we have run our foreign policy has been such that any intellegent nation would actually align themselves with us. We have shown our arrogance and ignorance to the world and advocating that we control the uranium is scary.

Then to think that we can find someplace to store all the world's spent uranium is even worse.

Man the gall of some to be so against war and nukes and all that bad stuff but then go and say something as 'flip flop' as this. Now it's ok for anyone to want to pursue nukes? I'm glad that a few will hold the cards on Nukes as if any Tom, Dick or Harry could get hold of them just go back and imagine a nuclear Rwanada. Got the idea flip floppy?

Oh yeah it's so scary. Get real you daydreamer. What you want say Iran to control it or China? or is Syria or such on your list of trustworthy countries? your arrogance in saying that the USA should not have any rights whatsoever to do anything is just that. your arrogance! Saying one shouldn't and the other should. The USA developed the weapons and they have the responsibility to control the technology. We have been lucky that the Japanese or Germans didn't develop it during WW2. You are arrogant just because you don't like the USA to tell them that they should be irresponsible with technology. Get real you daydreamer.
