FOX News: "Michelle Obama angrily dismisses 'angry black woman' portrayal"

The Truth Matters
Because Michelle Obama is not a red-lipped perfectly-coiffed hair and silent wife of the president, she's an "angry black woman" and difficult to work with.
No first lady has been smeared as much as this poor woman has had to endure. It's disgraceful the way she's been treated. It's like she killed someone or something.

Michelle: "he has dozens of really smart people who surround him ( Barack )"
Thank goodness!

The article says: "“I guess it’s more interesting to imagine this conflicted situation here and a strong woman. But that’s been an image that people have tried to paint of me since the day Barack announced—that I’m some angry black woman,” she said."
This suggests that her husband "announced" that she is "some angry black woman."
Anyways, what is wrong with being angry? I am not angry but I see angry people everyday, and I sometimes get angy on the train when a salaryman passes gas repeatedly in my vicinity. If I call her an "angry black woman" then why is that negative?

Better to be angry and use that anger as a fuel to fight for justice, and not just be angry and let it eat you up, the Obamas's are in the White House whether or not some young angry racists like it or not. And I do want them to be there another 4 years!

I agree, Truth: Seems to be a bit of racial stereotyping occurring. Similarly, Limbaugh recently claimed that part of what motivates President Obama is "the pursuit of money without having to work for it," that the Obamas view their time in the White House as "an opportunity to live high on the hog without having it cost them a dime," and that they think, "we deserve this, or we're owed this because of what's been done to us and our ancestors." He concluded that if the Obamas "don't know how to earn a lot of money working for it, they'll go someplace where they can legally steal it."
That's right; a lazy, entitled black couple with a screaming wife and a scheming husband. Pathetic.

Just curious, since the article makes no mention of it, who exactly portrayed Ms. Obama as an angry black woman? From what I gather, it is 'some people'. Not particularly specific.

On a similar note, I wonder if my company coworkers see me as the angry white guy because I complain from time to time and don't sit at my computer staring at the screen like an android for 12 hours straight.

I'll pass that on to Nancy Reagan
Mrs Reagan, once nicknamed 'Dragon Lady' because of her demanding ways with staff and fierce protection of her husband, was frequently ridiculed during her White House years from 1981 to 1989.

Try Hillary Clinton. Go back and review the media's treatment of her, especially during Bill's first administration.

They are no more biased from the right than NBC-Obama's pet peacock-are on the left.
We need both for people to hear from both sides and form their own opinions about current events.

Even with the ridiculous hagiography the OnePercentMedia has engaged in on behalf of both Obamas it is remarkable how many images you can find of Michelle Obama with a scowl or a frown on her face. Her handlers should work a little harder on that, or see to it that she is less conspicuous.
Only a year left to cement that legacy...

Yeah, I distinctly remember Nancy Reagan being referred to as a monkey.
Try, try again.

Truthy, please enlighten us. Which public figure (politician, pundit, actor, writer, etc.) has referred to Michelle Obama as a "monkey?" I don't recall that one. Or are you just projecting?
Hillary Clinton and Nancy Reagan were treated far worse than M. Obama. In fact, the media initially tried to push the idea of Michelle as the reincarnation of Jackie Kennedy, as comical as that sounds. Nancy Reagan never received such generous attention from the media.

LOL!! She was called that by Reagan's own Chief of Staff, Donald Regan. Some of us didn't forget. Nobody ridiculed her more than those who were closest in proximity to her.
Hillary Clinton was vilified far worse than any other First Lady, to the point of being accused of murder in the Vince Foster suicide. Let's not forget Sean Hannity's referring to daughter Chelsea as "the White House dog."

She really just should have remained quiet about that book. Now she just confirms the worst.

I'd would be angry too if I was forced to live my whole life in a country I was never proud of.

To read that Michelle and hubby Barack resented and were 'distressed' by the white Irish Catholic in Chicago makes me think the title should read
Michelle Obama tries to dismiss angry, black , bigoted racist woman portrayal
