The next problem will be how many hundreds of mosque to be builf on the European soil serving the spiritual needs of these refugees and their decendents.

They are desperate to be in Europe, but the headscarves stay on. They want European money, but refuse to assimilate.

It's also a bit much for Steinmeier to call for European solidarity when Germany unilaterally breaks the Dublin agreement and then blames others for the consequences.

@Scrote If its assimilation you are worried about, I think the headscarves should be extremely low on your list of concerns. Its just a piece of cloth.

But these people did not dream of coming to Europe for years, living in a stable environment, using the internet to research, or making visits to learn and explore. These people are refugees who believe they have a shot to survive (as in not DIE) in Europe. They might have gone anywhere to LIVE and see their children grow into adults. Right now their priorities are food, water and shelter, and so old habits are not going to change any time soon.

These are not immigrants. They are refugees.

I salute Germany for their open door. The others should abandon their churches, because they are not Christians, not real ones anyway.

The EU should expect another million of Muslim migrants from Syria, Libya, Afghanistan and Africa before end of the year. The Governments of EU members should look at best long term solution for mass exodus of Muslim migrants from Middle East and Africa. EU needs to more investment in modern agriculture, education and health in poor African nations.

Also UN, EU and other super power nations to establish green zone or save heaven for civilians in war torn countries. Rich Arab countries and billionaire should fund building of apartment buildings and resettling refugees in green zone area. The Green zone will be protection by ground and air International military.

Without long term solution, Syrian refugees will be looking for permanent home in Europe. Also I was wondering about why oil rich Arab countries like Saudi, Kuwait, Qatar and UAE do not take those their fellow Arab Muslim migrants from Syria?

Some EU members are refusing to take Muslim migrants for resettling in their country. Germany is threatening with punishment to the country which didn't take share of migrants. I think it's unfair to the country which doesn't want Muslim migrants. They have their reason for didn't want to take Muslim migrants. It's easy to take these Muslim migrants but integration into local culture and society is difficult. Muslims never integrate into host nation society and also they do not accept host nation culture. The Muslim always demand the hosts to learn their culture, religion, the Islamic Sharia law and the way they live instead of learning local culture and respect host nation religion. It's a main problem of hosting Muslims in long term.

If EU has only issued with temporary protection visa to all refugees and then Asylum seekers will stop coming to Europe but it must be known by all prospective Syrian refugees in Turkey. EU should put its policy on commercial TV if EU has clear message for Syria refugees.

I’m really heart broken to see children and women risking their lives for safe place but EU can not resettle the whole Syrian population plus Libyan and African refugees. EU must decide how they will deal with such as human Tsunami by head and not by heart.

They're making a beeline for Germany, skipping even Austria. So what's going to happen when the Merkel quotas come into effect, and the Germans start to transport them to places like Spain and Portugal or Eastern Europe, where they probably don't want to be.

Will they again protest and try to run back to Germany?

Good point. Spain and Portugal are too poor to take in any Syrians. Plus those populations are hard core Catholics. It will be like walking on eggshells for large herds of muslims. They'll flee.

@Hawkeye. You're not a bigot.

people are two kinds in the world : either a follower of a dictator ( slaves ) or part of a dictatorship system ,,,, I wonder why Europe is welcoming those people

I mean don't tell me that a couple of millions dead in iraq made europe has a sympathy for them or whatsoever

the question is if they were to be kicked out of Europe because of their bad behavior cuz they like big salaries or a special lifestyle which is present in Europe

The next problem will be how many hundreds of mosque to be builf on the European soil serving the spiritual needs of these refugees and their decendents.

HAHA do you think that they care about mosque or ritual prayers ,,,, priest those days are becoming like yakuza grabbing money ,( きちがい)in japanese term ,,, I mean once you stop giving them money enough to live they will rebel on you ,,,,Not a good follower I think ,,,, Call it a state-inside-a-state ,,,,, an black organization , not for a real prayer for peace

why they don't simply refuse ,,, I mean attacking a sovereign country that has nothing to do with 9/11 and the WTC7 should be a sign that europe never respected international law

The richest Muslim countries have not taken in any refugees, and it seems have given less than 1 billion dollars for humanitarian care. The U.S. has given 4 billion.

It is about time for the world to demand Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and the big one, Saudi Arabia, step up to the plate.

Exactly. And maybe jakarta could attempt to offer assistance as well. What about Tehran? Will they take any? Muslims belong in muslim countries, simple as that.

@PeaceOut

I understand your point, but on a tangent throughout Europe there are many unused churches because so many in every European country have stopped attending. These could be great places for those needing refuge to stay.
