When will Muslims reclaim the "religion of peace" from the jihadi's? It is a shame that so many moderates have been silenced and allowed their religion to be high-jacked by extremists.

I don't see that as an excuse for the "moderates" silence in countries with free speech and secular states. I know that moderate and liberal muslims in Afghanistan are under threat though, but those in the UK,EU, and US sure are quiet about the abuse of extremists against other muslims as well.

There have been more and more expressions from the mainstream Muslim communities around the world recently, who are often acutely embarrassed by what is done in their name.

Let's hope they increase the frequency and intensity of these public pronouncements. Whichever way you cut the cake, such statements can only lead to better feelings all round.
