I had a friend who lives in Mecca, who said many people who came especially like 30-20 years ago were allowed to stay in Saudi arabia.
This is no longer done by saudi arabia, which has better standards of living than many other muslim nations. I think is very good that people travel by air in millions to Saudi arabia,at least they are discovering another nation/another culture.
Many of my friends have also gone to Mecca,it made them more spiritual.

...and Religion. Non-Muslims are not even allowed to enter Mecca - the whole of the area is out of bounds.

Helter: "Wonder how many will be trampled to death this year."
Why does it not surprise me that that's the first thing that crosses your mind. The only thing that would surprise me less is hearing you've placed bets on it.

Faiths are faiths, there is separations because of some geographical regions/nations of births. Today we see problems in world because of religions/faiths.
Many people may indentify themselves as a certain faith member of different faiths,so they should be not be our friends in JT.
Well as for me I have many friends of all faiths from muslims, christians, jews, buddhist and many others. Name a faith,I have a friend who of is that faith even those who practise atheism. Where I live, people follow all the faiths of the world.
Even among my family members,we are all not exactly following the faiths in one systematic way.The thing is,we all learn to live with each other and practise tolerance for our various beliefs.
When we die,and leave the earth or our body, the next higher world choices or the return back to earth in reincarnations, are the same.
If your are born in christian nations you are christian, indian faiths if in india ,buddhist if in buddhist nations, jewish if in jewish nation and other faiths according to other faiths/religions/isms of their land.
Muslims are out of bonds in some hindu temples, non muslims are out of bond in mecca but not in mosques worldwide.North koreans are not allowed in japan is this also not some kind of out of bounds. After 9/11,muslims are not allowed in many nations and are under tight security checks. Poor nations people are not allowed in rich nations. All these are they not some kind of out of bounds. There is good ,there is bad in all faiths.
White western people are also not allowed to get citizenships in asian nations or also vice versa. Asian/african people may not allowed in some white western areas or in japan areas. Are these also not some kind of out of bounds via national borders.
Out of bonds or not allowed ,changes accordingly to political changes/leadership changes and faiths in various nations. There is no restrictions in friendship between people of all faiths. I have a friend in mecca, who is muslim, but he is a friend.
I can talk on anything with my mecca friend.
I do not see difference in our friendship and among all my friends, just because mecca is out of bounds for non-muslims or that I am not allowed in churches/jewish temples. All these are artificial divisions that are made by humans, why should I also follow these artificial divisions.
If we are all humans first, who live on material earth,I see that I can be friends to all people of all faiths, because I focus on our common human values/human aims/human goals which are the same regardless of which land or faith we humans are born in.
We all go back to god,we all can cheat death the great leveller. The choices for all people is same for all, whether we are reincarnated or go to higher worlds.
The earth is only a small part of creation, if we compare all the creations in the universes in cosmic material worlds and beyond in spiritual worlds.

Nope, not necessarily. It depends on your parents. But islam is alone in allowing anyone convert into it at any time, but punishes leaving islam by death (apostesy).
No such thing happened, and it is no excuse for the Saudi refusal of allowing non-muslims to enter Mekkah. Personally, I can live with that, but I think in turn Rome and Varanasi should be declared off-limits for muslims. Fair enough?

WilliB-
Keeping the faiths of land of births, why is world divided into christian nations, muslim nations, buddhist nations, india nation or no faiths nations.
Is this because we encourage anyone to leave the land of family faith, land of birth or land of marxism?
Fair is fair,I think we can live with some refusals to allow into Mekkah,Vatican or Holy indian cities or Nuke weapons site.
You can still travel in much of saudi arabia, india,USA,Israel,Russia or italy without refusals,it is just the holy places or nuke places that people are refused in. This should be fair enough.
