Kinda proved the point the protesters were making. And how does a computer science major not understand the internet is not anonymous?

I'm glad the authorities arrested this racist dirtbag before he could use his gun and become another domestic terrorist. Threats of any sort must be taken seriously.

I hope he does jail time and can be legally stopped from ever owning and possessing a gun of any sort.

What. A. Dope.

I can understand this kid getting in crap but I`ll never know why the 2 school officials resigned.

I think they should have described in greater detail the exact threat he made, rather than describe what he was wearing.

@Doo-Bop, they were just describing the prison garb to make the article a little more colorful. The exact threats he made are quoted in the article. There was another 19 year old arrested at another state U campus for the same kind of threats.

@pointofview, one school official, the UM president, resigned outright without a contract buyout. He surely did this after his realization that his experiment in moving from the business sector to the highly charged world of academia failed. The chancellor, on the other hand, was removed under the guise of taking a lesser role at the university, which was a face saving slow motion firing. He is in his later 60s, so who knows how well he could relate to the younger faculty and students. The faculty, more than the students, were against him and basically forced him out via petition.

@TorafusuTorasan,

Thanks for pointing it out to me. Either the article did not have that quote when I read it (articles sometimes change) or I am more hungover than I thought.

Anyway, that certainly is a sicko that should be locked up.

Torafusu Torasan has one theory, but I'll give you the one most likely to be the cause: If the football team continued to refuse to play their games, the University stood to lose lots of revenue - even more than the Chancellor's annual salary. College American football is big business and money talks - ESPECIALLY when there's a quick solution that will get the football gravy train rolling again. The football team had stated they would not practice or play again as long as the leadership at the University remained in office.

The dean of students and class president at a small California college called Claremont McKenna have also resigned after students protested the administration's lack of response to racist incidents. It goes way beyond football, endowments and hunger strikes. These college administrators have sold to all anti free speech students the very rope that the students are now using to hang them.
