    Rule of the thumb: Whenever any government in a guerilla warfare situation resorts to publishing regular "body counts", you know that they are flailing and loosing. The US and the Europeans are in it till their collective noses, and have no face-saving way out. These regular body counts published by the "international forces" are a sad joke. The Jihadists are winning, and they know it.

    Yep. It would be easy to defeat the Jihad if we acknowledged that we are in a war. But political correctness says that we have to pretend the Jihad does not exist and is all our fault anyway, so modern civilizations bend over and let the medieval Arabs have it. Pretty bizarre, really.
