if everybody is shooting at ISIS should be no problem but no reason not to talk

It's probably best to get the Russians on board. Unified against a fanatical group that are well armed and financed would seem to be the only way forward...
...only the nuts in the Republican party and Putin's autism stand in the way.

NO freakin' kidding. I'd prefer it strongly if the US does work with Russia to eliminate the largest threat. Because once Syria settles down, people might be more likely to return? Worry about Assad later if we must.

Agree with all above. Remove the ISIS cancer and settle other issues peacefully. The theater has changed radically since the conflict began, and the US should show flexibility in how it handles things, whether that means leaving Assad in a position of some power or not.

The fundamental objective of Obama's war in Syria is the removal of Assad at all cost due to his housing of Russian forces in Syria. The ISIS is not a target of US's covert war due to that organisation is funded by the Saudis, the Saudi Kingdom is a key ally of US.

The US are bombing IS rebels not Assad's forces (I hope) so I don't see how there could be an issue - they're both fighting the same enemy after all. Assad isn't the bigger problem - IS are. Russians have their choppers and can more easily identify IS targets on the ground and eliminate them. Attacking from altitude may be safer for the pilots but not for the innocents on the ground.
Let the Russians have a go.
