Blink. What would dear daddy or beloved gramps say? I'd really like to have overheard the porch talk between the grown ups on this one.

That dummy missile again!

They have to move those mobile launchers that China gave them or they will go rusty.

Not wanting to seem ungrateful, I guess.

Now that Foal Eagle has concluded, DPRK's tin soldiers will get to their Spring planting duty.

The next time they move those missiles on to the pads, the world should not broadcast it. Just have our military forces be prepared to shoot them down but no one should glorify their move. It's just the attention the leader of DPRK wants. He needs to be ignored like a badly behaved kid in primary school.

Dammit, I was hoping we could put NK out of it' (and SK,Japan, and our) misery. Looks like we're in for another long round of the same old s**t with NK. Don't remove the sanctions, don't help NK, leave them to rot until they crumble. Enough "help" for the fat Kim family.

I have a suspicion that China had quietly threatened to stop its support if Pyongyang continued with what it was doing, and that's why the silence of the last few weeks was followed by the stand-down of the launchers. China wouldn't make it public that that's what happened, because they wouldn't want to be seen as acceding to the West's wishes.

Time for China to stop all the support it gives to the despot NK state and starting working on a united Korea which is the only hope for the people in NK.

China has no interest in allowing a Democratic country to directly share a border with it. NK provides a buffer between China and democratic Korea. It is in China's interests to keep that buffer in-place.

Exactly what we've heard about Fadamor. Sad thing is that China is not supporting NK because they think that the US will invade, but because the US support for a united Korea means that China won't be able to further its own expansionist policies for further landgrabbing with ease. Not that Russia would stand much for that itself.

Well, it's not over until the fat Un sings. I wonder what the "official" explanation of this will be in the propaganda? Hopefully the next step won't be to do something stupid to save face.

@zichi: A united Korea would also mean the US military could leave

Yes, the above theory might fools people like Gorbachev over the unification of Germany but NOT China over the Korean peninsula! The existence of North Korea is like a thermometer to test US hostilities against China and decide what next to due with US belligerence!

The existence of North Korea is to embarassment America's pivot influences in east asia, everyone knows the US govt shall never attacks a nuclear armed country no matter how evil it was! In contrast the demise of Iraq,Libya and Syria...North Korea has done a very good job like a bayonent to stab for mines under sand! So why should China wants North korea's 'non-existences'?

expensive bluff

Wait, so you're admitting China is evil? lol. And you're wrong about one thing, the US and its allies would attack a nuclear armed state, just they wouldn't use nuclear weapons against them unless someone else fires one off first and it was an absolute necessity to use nukes. Remember with MAD humanity as a whole loses.
