Great news! Let your people starve to death, be brain washed, while you waste more money on useless nuclear arsenals! For shame North Korea! This country is a big black eye to all of Asia! When will these fools in Pyongyang ever learn!

Sick of this. Perhaps the US should downsize some of its nuclear arsenal on downtown Pyongyang. A starving population is only one of North Korea's crimes. Wholesale drug manufacture, support of terrorism and state-sponsored counterfeiting are other issues.

I do believe it is wrong to wish for another’s demise, but in the case of Kim I apologize. When will that pathetic wee little person die and let those poor people start their deprogramming? There is already a few generations lost in that pile but you must give the kids a shot!

It sounds like he wants some attention. It is there way of asking for more money. Like spoiled child who cries until they get what they want. You see when people forget about NK and focus on something else. They commit another political stunt to be acknowledge. I believe a lot of celebrities do the same thing.

Unfortunately, for NK the US and other SuperPowers have more pressing matters. Like Pakistan, Afghanistan and Irag. NK doesn't really want to fight. No real army wants to risk losing. They will fight only if they are 100% sure of victory. They just want to have an enemy so the people can support them building up the military. That is what the Cold War was all about. I say continue to ignore and focus on more important issues.

If NK wants to bolster their nuclear arsenal, then maybe we can give them one or two nukes to help them out.

U.S. is ready and willing to talk directly with Pyongyang.
Is it a seld-humilating?

We believe very strongly that the solution to the tensions and problems of the area now lies in dialogue and negotiation.”
It was necessary to let a lethal country like North Korea to exist to humilate the arrogance US,Japan alliance. It wasnt because US under the Obama administration was sincere to talk fairly with asian countries but she was too busy on afghanistan and tired up in iraq!America was a big bully and it was necessary to lay a trap to restrain her aggressive attitude!

The Hermit Kingdom is full of losers. It's time for Japan to get nukes.

Only a loser needs nukes to take another loser for fear of said loser.

Wow, I think we see a pattern here. NK threatens, gets attention, gets what it wants, then threatens again, while the west sucks its collective thumb about the need for more dialogue.

"Great news! Let your people starve to death, be brain washed, while you waste more money on useless nuclear arsenals!" US has how many hungry and homeless? How much of our national defense budget is spent on weapons of mass destruction? How many of us think all Muslims are terrorists?

Kim must be hungry for some corn fed Nebraska beef or needs parts for his Harley Davidson...he always makes this "tough talk" when he needs something personally. And really, is dissing the Russian envoy really a good move? No more dialog. Shut NK off from the world.

So where are the bush haters who claimed over and over that it was "Bush's fault" for refusing to open a direct dialogue with NKorea? Now that Obama opens the door to direct talks they tell us to go take a hike. The only country that can stop NKorea is China, and the world needs to completely stop all aid, trade, everything with NKorea who in turn will be grabbing on to China's feet for survival. At this point East Asia would proibably be more peaceful and stable if NKorea were to become the latest Chinese province.

Hello OssanAmerica, been working. Can't contribute to all post.
I'm one of the posters who has blamed NK problems on bush and his 5 years of refusing to get involved. Kim and his bunch of puppets had all thosde years to continue to build their arsenal.
After he (bush and the 6 party talks) finally got involved I had high hopes for North Korea. I've been very disappointed at the outcome. I still think that we allowed Kim 5 years to increase his arsenal and create more nuclear material.
What to do now, I don't know? But I still have more faith in negotions then I do in stonewalling. We'll just have to see how it goes. < :-)

The world needs to gang up on NK and give them an ultimatum. Stop blackmailing the world, counterfeiting and kidnapping on an international scale or get attacked by a coalition of he willing. Time to give them a taste of their own medicine. End of story.

bush took NK of the terrorist list so dont worry about anything. bush was always on top of his foreign policy decisions. Just look at Iraq, and Afganistan for example.
So what if bush killed the sunshine policy and made NK part of the axis of evil. Cant Kim take a joke, ha ha. Now NK has nukes, the joke is on who now?
As with the economy, education, the environment, the budget, etc, etc Obama has to try and clean up the failures of the republican bush party. Just like clinton had to do when he took over for the read my lips president bush. NK is no different. The one thing we know for sure it that it cannot get any worse than the last 8 years.

The mellowdrama, the mellowdrama... [So what if bush killed the sunshine policy and made NK part of the axis of evil. Cant Kim take a joke, ha ha. Now NK has nukes, the joke is on who now?] Like really they just went for nukes just because their sworn enemy called them a name. Get real. Their intentions to get them never waned. The horror... the horror!!
[ NK is no different. The one thing we know for sure it that it cannot get any worse than the last 8 years.] The BS... The BS!!

I admire zurcronium's multi-culti outlook, his confidence in even the most backward regimes.
If I read him correctly North Korean missiles intended for the US would never veer off course and strike Canada.
