I still wouldn't drink that. Who knows if it even is water? Could be lava!
Comon water on mars?!?
What! Is it full of mercury of somthing?
Not the type of water that we drink.
What the hell is 'common water'? So you don't consider seawater water despite the fact that we desalinate it and drink all the time? If it's one hydrogen atom with two oxygen atoms then its water no matter what it may be mixed/combined with. If it exists there we can purify/isolate it for consumption like we do with most of the water we consume here on Earth.
By earth standards, water is the source of life. finding water on Mars is very significant in determining if life does or did exist there.
NASA is just flat out cool, in my opinion.

"Martian water has been touched and tasted"
By a machine! Tell the machine to bring it back here where I can freeze it, crush it and put some cherry syrup on it!
