NATO = Not Able To Operate

Now that the Euros are in charge, they see that it is impossible to try to distinguish friend from foe from a fast moving airplane without more troops on the ground.

I am sure that the heads of governments in Europe miss a cowboy like "W" or the other "rowdy American leaders" who normally get blamed for doing their dirty work when we are in charge.

Good luck NATO. My advise, let the Libyans sort each other out themselves.

“This is something new. We haven’t had a significant military operation in which the Americans have taken a back seat for quite some time,” Malcolm Chalmers, a professor of defense at London’s Kings College, said Friday. “It really is unclear whether the Europeans can rise to that challenge.”

Was it really ever unclear?
