Reminds me a bit of the most recent headline from America's finest news source, "The Onion"... hehehe An excerpt of the Headline reads as follows,

"U.S. Quietly Slips Out Of Afghanistan in Dead of Night: KABUL, AFGHANISTAN--
In what officials said was the 'only way' to move on from awhat has become a 'sad and unpleasant' situation, all 100,00 U.S. military and intelligence personnel crept out of their barracks in the dead of night Sunday, and quietly slipped out of Afghansitan. U.S. commanders explainded their sudden pull out in a short, handwritten note left behind at Bagram Airfield, their largest base of operations in the country. 'By the time you read this, we will be gone,' the note to wthe nation of Afghanistan read in part. 'We regret any pain this may cause you, but this is was something we needed to do. We couldn't go on like this forever.' "

    One can only dream.

    Which ones are the insurgents?

Anyone that the US forces kill in the name of the war on terror.

Oh and BreitbartVictorious, l think you will find that the particular province in question is one of the provinces held by the US military.

"Anyone that the US forces kill in the name of the war on terror ( are the insurgents )"

Almost, but not quite. Sometimes innocents are killed.

    Bit more than sometimes unfortunately.

At least U.S./NATO forces don't target innocents. Unfortuately the insurgents often do.

I thought the insurgents were the US/NATO troops.

    Or would they be invaders?

Go to Afghanistan, travel around for a few weeks, and you'll find out how wrong you are.

    Johninnaha,

There are insurgents in Afghanistan that go around killing people then there are US troops in Afghanistan that also go around killing people so really apart from the uniform it would be a bit hard to tell. But you are right one is the insurgent and one the invader so who's right and whos wrong?

As this article shows, Afghanistan wasn't doing too badly before the US starting messing around with it.
