    Well they are not needed but much better than say Maoists who if they don't like outcomes of elections just go out and kill people. The king's family keep it personal only when killing.

    The Russian communists killed the Russian royal family. Nepal Maoists are more civilized, they allow the king to continue to live and do business as a normal man...give them credit for this.

    You would need a constitutional crisis for that to happen anytime soon, like the Emperor supporting a particular government MP as Prime Minister or refusing to act on designation of the Diet.

    Such a shame that such a tradition has to be abolished to appease Communist killers. Even Nepal feels the teeth of Political Correctedness.
