It is not likely that there will be any interfaith harmony between islam and any other faith. All the way back to the separation point of Isaac and Ishmael, there has been trouble. Esau wanted to kill his brother Jacob, and then married a daughter of Ishmael for the purpose of displeasing his parents. What we have now is nearly an open warfare of ideologies between Islam and the rest of the world.

He ain't gonna say a damn thing. Everyone is afraid of making any negative statements against Iran, much less Islam.

He never called for it, he only stated that he envisages the day when Israel will no longer exist. Meanwhile, people calling themselves Israelis have been wiping Palestine off the map. That is what the pope should condemn with an aggressive voice.

LIBERTAS
Bibi, there IS no threat from Iran. There's only threats from Israel.

He never called for it" what you level of Farsi?
There's only threats from Israel." Really, has Isreal come out and said wipe Iran off the map or anything similar? How many Israelis are actually Iranian decent? about 25%

Israel needs to take out Iran's nuclear facilities ASAP. Then it will become irrelevant what Ahmadinejad has to say.

Israel has wiped Palestine off the map. And now they are falsely accusing Iran of wanting to do the same to Israel and they expect the world to condemn Iran.

"Israel has wiped Palestine off the map"
sabiwabi needs a history lesson. There hasn't been a Palestine since way before Israel came into existence.

Israel has wiped Palestine off the map." Oh, so those concentration camp allegations and its people are a figment of my imagination.
Seriously, Israel wouldn't stand a chance against Iran, who have been itching for a war with the "Zionist" for years.

As nonsense as this Pope is, he is smart enough to not side with Israel. It´s ok to keep diplomatic relations with Israel, but he knows that the times that the world supported the israeli cause are long over. People have shifted their support from pro-israeli (soon after WWII), to indiference, to pro-Palestinean.

The Pope will talk to anybody in an effort to protect his own backward believers, as is his job. Being nice to & about the Pope isn’t because anybody credits him with any worthwhile function in the world, Jews & Muslims do so simply to be seen as peace loving good guys, which neither are. sabiwabi & LIBERTAS , nobody will ever take either of you seriously until you start to give a balanced argument. Always showing up on any thread that even mentions Israel to give extremist anti- Israeli opinions without offering any sensible solutions to the middle east’s problems is meaningless. There are millions of Jewish people living in Israel, what in real world terms do you suggest should happen to these people?

Helter Skelter when you take out the nuclear facilities in Iran, who is going to simultaneously take out Israel's nuclear weapons? Fair is fair. < :-)

SuperLib: LMAO sabiwabi: My history is a little fuzzy. Exactly when, did Israel wipe Palestine off of the map?

If you don´t call what Israel has been doing for 61 years in the area as an eradication of the Palestine legacy, then you know nothing.

Have a good day SuperLib. Facts still have their place. Iran didn't threaten to take Israel out. But it's been so much fun listening to Israel and republicans repeating it. < :-)

Lost, are you talking about Muslim Arabs of the region who for centuries have contributed nothing to world other than misery and holy war? Is this the great "legacy" you're talking about?

Iran is killing Israelis through Hamas. Israel isn't killing Iranians either directly or indirectly. Following your "fair is fair" approach I guess you wouldn't mind if Israel sent a few rockets into Iran?
