Now you see THIS is the kind of reason why lax gun control in the US is such a problem. In the heat of the moment anger, Fleming took out a gun and stormed over in rage with the intent of shooting the man. Fortunately the man was not killed, but easily could have been.

Hopefully he'll get some anger management help after this, and throw away his guns, but something tells me unless he has to relinquish them due to this event, he won't.

The good news is that according to the FBI the number of incidents where gun owners in the heat of the moment of anger decide to shoot someone is down, way down. This is excluding gang shootings of course. So its not really a problem, especially when only 1 in 33,000 gun owners actually assault someone with a gun.

It has nothing to do with gun control and whether they are lax or not, the issue here is this mans anger management and according to the neighbors this was a daily occurance of the houses getting hit by golf balls. In other words even if he didn't have a gun it wouldn't have prevented the incident, he walked up to the golfers before shooting them, in other words if he would have concealed a knife or a hatchet or some type of blunt object he could have just as easily killed one of the golfers if he knew where stab them or hit them. Heck he could have just gotten into his car and ran them over on the course.

Smith that firearm is in police hands and if he is convicted he won't get the gun back nor will he be able to legally buy one again from a gun store.

Bwahahhaah, you actually think this is how legal gun owners in america act? Man you need to stop taking hollywood so seriously. Man you need to go to a gun range and actually interact with real gun owners before stereotyping them.

Okay, this is not a gun control issue, it was a shotgun. By any standard this is a sport and hunting weapon. Even countries with very strict gun restrictions allow them..

As a golfer, I know many stories from fellow golfers about crap like this. People who don;t golf buy houses adjacent to golf courses for the quite (golfer are actually very quite) the view of green lawns, lakes and trees and then get pissed off when golf ball hits their house! Kinda like buying a beach house and then trying to shoot the seagulls for crapping on the deck.

    It"S ME

Agree with techall, buy a property next to a golf-course and expect the odd stray shot to end in your yard or window.

Noliving, you need to get a bullet from an AK 47 etc..in your culo, become a paraplegic or be 6 feet under, by some idiots on high on drugs then, and maybe only THEN will you understand the pain of what your lovely guns do to people 24/7!! Remember when that idiot tried to kill ex Prez Reagan?? Or that terrorist that tried to kill the Catholic Pope?? SO keep on smoking your banana peels, GUNS DO KILL PEOPLE!! No matter what the idiot fools at the NRA say.

So what your saying is that if I understood the pain guns can inflict on people I would call for ban or much stronger regulation of guns? Man you don't know anything about me. Considering one of my friends in high school committed suicide with a glock 19 I think I know what pain it inflicts on people. I was first one to see his body, It was after school it was just him, me and his mom (downstairs) in the house, we were up in his room playing halo on the xbox, I had to go to the bathroom and while I was in the bathroom I heard a loud bang, run into his bedroom I see his body slumped over on his bed and his blood splattered all over behind him with some brain skull fragments. Within a second or two his mom is in the room, immediately she screaming and crying. I have never heard or seen someone in so much pain while at the same time denial. She didn't want to believe that he couldn't be saved, while me I just stood in the doorway in total shock and in denial as well about what had just happened. I can tell you at the funeral she was in even more pain because there was no way she could continue to live in denial anymore. I can tell you one that is for certain and that is the what if's well never ever end they will forever haunt me.

Any inanimate object can kill elbuda, NRA has never said guns can't kill people, what they are saying is that in order for a gun to kill it requires a living multicellular organism in order to kill. Guns, knives, cars, explosives, crossbows, flamethrowers, poisons etc. Can kill, but in order to kill they need a person to use them as a weapon to kill. By themselves they can't kill, they require the negligence or the deliberate use of them by a multicellular organism in order to kill.

Lashing out at the inanimate things that hurt us and calling for much stricter regulation or outright bans of things that hurt us is nothing more immaturity it is called life. If we banned everything or tightly regulated everything that can and will hurt us we would all be living in a padded room with straight jackets and helmets over our head and never let out.

Do you really honestly believe that this is how your average legal gun owner in the US acts:

These poor golfers should have had their uzis on them, teach that darn fool a lesson, right my a second Amendmant loving amigos?? Somebody comes with you angry about your swing?? Pull that Uzi out!! Hell yeah!! Woot!! Woot!!

Do you really think that is how the average gun owner acts man?

You need to stop taking Hollywood so seriously and actually interact with real gun owners at a gun range.

Something to be said about anger-management here. Kind of like road-rage mentality going on there.
