If Peter Mandelson's denial is the best defence Brown has, it's a pretty good bet this allegation holds water.

Surely, if it was untrue, there would be a defamation/libel suit in process already?

I was never a fan of Blair, but at least he could sell himself well. Brown is the unholy communion of incompetence, anti-charisma, and just being a profoundly unpleasant man.

Roll on May 6th.
