Actually, five Pulitzers, which is higher than normal, proves it's not sliding into irrelevence in the least. The Republican party and its supporters, which are often the topic of scandals covered in the paper (and which has gotten you all miffed), are indeed sliding into oblivion and irrelevance, though.
