Bizarre case really. You might think the lady is off her rocker, but her former rebel boss from a different group is now the vice-president of a country, and her group's opponent, Fujimori, is now a well known criminal. Sort of evens things out.
Its a long time for a person to serve for the one charge she was hammered with. And while in prison they ruined her back with heavy lifting and freezing temperatures in the Andes.
Remind me to never visit Peru. My opinion of the country is not good after reading about this case.

Sorry but, anyone who decides to go to south america to crusade for 'social justice' to me isn't really worth saving. Still, she never committed any violent acts, a 20 year sentence is awfully harsh for having done essentially nothing. Wonder what the sentence would have been if she had gone and murdered someone?
