Did they taser him before or after announcing the arrest? If they tasered him merely in the process of escorting him out of the bar and they had not arrested him yet, then I hope the cop who did it gets burned.

It would also be nice to know why he was told to leave.

Yeah, what skip said. Unless they do some Mike Vick type crap, then they will be let off with a slap on the wrist. Guess it has to do with whoever is running the show behind the scenes. The NBA commissioner wouldn't have tolerated this one bit and this guy would have been sent packing.

Are off duty police allowed to carry tasers? Why were off duty cops in a bar? Were they drinking after work? Did they want the football player to leave the bar, get in his car, and drive home?

Pathetic cops - everytime they say some rich guy had drugs on him, it's the stereotypical vial that rich guys don't buy. As the old saying goes, "You found it, you put it there.
